Where better to study hotel and tourism management than in its birthplace? Switzerland, in particular the Valais region, is often referred to as the birthplace of hospitality. Before becoming “The King of Hoteliers and The Hotelier of Kings”, César Ritz chose to leave his home in Niederwald, just a few kilometres from Brig, to go abroad searching knowledge and experience. His tradition of luxury, excellence and service has set the standard for hotels and restaurants throughout the world.

You will find the latest PC’s, projectors and electronic whiteboards in the classrooms and lecture theatres. Both campuses have production kitchens and formal dining rooms where students practise service styles and banquet and event management skills.

Student life – Friends for life
There are excellent opportunities to participate in social and sporting activities throughout Switzerland and Europe. Many of these activities are organized by the Student Committee, which is elected each term by the student body.
Social activities provide you an opportunity to get to know your fellow students away from the campus environment and can often develop your professional knowledge. The Student Committee organizes events such as the weekly theme nights and excursions to tourist attractions, visits to famous cities, exhibitions and industry trade shows in Switzerland and beyond.
Sport and physical activity play an important role in your overall health and well-being. We provide students with fully equipped fitness rooms and outdoor sports facilities, including a private football field in Le Bouveret and basketball and volleyball courts in Brig. Joining a sports team will help create new friendships, develop your team spirit and keep you fit!
Switzerland is famous for its beautiful natural sports playgrounds, all of which are easily accessed from either campus. Its famous mountains, valleys and lakes offer year-round opportunities for individual and team sporting activities such as sailing, golf, biking, skating and paragliding. During the winter, you can easily reach the ski slopes by car, train or local bus.
