The programme has a dual perspective. On one hand it focuses on the daily operations within a hotel’s departments, on the other hand on the decision making processes that lead to effective departmental and hotel management. The programme provides a foundation that allows the student to work effectively within the Hospitality industry and helps to build a career up to executive management level.

The course is particularly useful for those who have already obtained a university level qualification within another discipline and intend to become senior managers within international hotel chains and resorts. English Foundation Programme

The SEG English Foundation Programme is an ideal way for students to improve their English skills before starting their hospitality studies at IHTTI School of Hotel Management.

Programme Structure
The SEG English Foundation Programme runs in blocks of 4 weeks throughout the year. Students may enter the programme at the beginning of any 4-week block. Students must achieve the required English level before they can start their hospitality programme at IHTTI.

Location
The programme is offered at the campus in Le Bouveret. Students from other SEG schools also participate in the same programme.

Transfer to IHTTI
After completion of the programme students are transferred to IHTTI School of Hotel Management by minibus or coach.

Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in comfortable twin rooms.

Meals
All meals are included in the indicated fees.

Fee

MA Degree Programme

After successful completion of the of the BA (Hons) Degree, students can progress to the MA Degree in International Hospitality Management offered at the SEG University Centre in Leysin (SHMS - Swiss Hotel Management School).

The MA programme seeks to develop student's critical analytic skills and foster their creativity, so that they can respond effectively to key challenges facing the hospitality industry in the 21st century. The key themes that recur throughout the programme include: human resource issues and the management of of cultural diversity, strategic management and internationalisation. Graduates will be equipped with a range of skills to deal with trends and changes in the hospitality indistry such as the growth of IT, new business practices and a more competitive marketplace.
